The MERLIN Flat Double Square is a versatile layout tool that combines the functions of a double square, framing square, and ruler into a single flat‑profile design. Built to remain completely flat during use, it provides reliable reference surfaces for accurate layout work across a wide range of woodworking tasks.

Its low‑profile construction allows the square to stay flush against work surfaces in any orientation, making it well suited for inside and outside layouts, edge referencing, and straightedge measurements. Whether used in the shop or on the jobsite, the MERLIN supports consistent, repeatable layout without shifting or rocking during use.

A built‑in shelf tab adds stability when referencing edges or materials, helping maintain consistent positioning during marking and measurement. The expandable platform allows the ruler to be swapped with compatible sizes from the Red Tail Ruler Set (sold separately), offering flexibility to adapt the tool to different layout needs.
