Oil Plus Part A - Oil Only

Rubio® Monocoat Oil Plus Part A is a single-component linseed oil finish suited for lighter-duty interior applications. It contains the same base oil used in Oil Plus 2C, but without the accelerator that increases durability and speeds curing. When combined with Part B (sold separately), it becomes OP2C.

Part A is a practical choice for low-traffic interior projects or for sampling colors before committing to a full application. Because it cures more slowly and offers less resistance to wear, it is not recommended for high-use areas.

Like OP2C, Part A goes on in a single coat and brings out the natural color, grain and texture of the wood without streaks or lap marks. It is an easy, nearly mistake-proof choice for beginners that delivers professional results every time.

Should the finished surface get damaged, simply sand the affected area and refinish. Suitable for most interior species, it dries to the touch in about 24 to 36 hours and reaches full cure in roughly 21 days.

This finish is VOC free, nontoxic and food safe once cured. It should be applied with a non-abrasive pad or plastic applicator and wiped with a clean towel after 3 to 5 minutes. Cleanup is easily done with soap and water.

Note: Before applying this product, the surface must be completely clean and dust-free to ensure proper bonding with the wood fibers. Apply the oil in sections of 50 to 100 square feet. Spread evenly until no oil or color rings remain, then allow a reaction time of at least 5 minutes. Remove all excess within 30 minutes.
