Constructed of premium carbon steel, the Safe Driver is mounted on a #2 Morse Taper, it installs directly in the headstock for quick, secure engagement. The ring-shaped drive applies even pressure around the center point instead of aggressive teeth, helping maintain control without biting into the wood. Base-adjustable spring tension lets you fine-tune pressure for lighter cuts or heavier turning while allowing the workpiece to stop during a catch.
