The SHARK SD101® is the first easy-to-use, full-function CNC machine capable of producing high-quality 2D and 3D carvings, as well as machining in a large variety of mediums including wood, soft metals, plastics and other solid surface materials.


The SHARK SD101 now features the all-new SHARK WIZARD software, equipped with hundreds of pre-designed projects that can be effortlessly transmitted to your Shark SD101 with just a simple touch. If you’re looking to dive into CNC without the steep learning curve of designing, this software is tailor-made for you. The SHARK WIZARD software encompasses projects for carving, lasering, and rotary 4th (laser and rotary 4th axis accessories sold separately). As your CNC skills progress, and you’re eager to personalize projects, the Shark Wizard software also boasts thousands of graphic assets, both in 2D and 3D, that can seamlessly enhance your project creations.


The SHARK SD101 also comes with Next Wave CNC’s exclusive easy-to-use Ready2Control basic panel software, which allows the user complete visibility and control over the entire project during CNC operation.


The SHARK SD101 with onboard electronics and plug-and-play design will accept any of Next Wave’s full line of accessories, such as the 2W and 7W laser modules, the mini 4th axis, touch plate, Shark Tooth, or even the Shark 3D digitizer.

The SHARK SD101 has an added feature not found on other CNCs: You can adjust the slotted bed forward or backward to allow the SHARK SD101 to perform clamping and machining on ends of long boards, such as box joints or tenons. See the manual for more information.
